Wireworks Bridge in Sepia

Description

A misty morning view of the wireworks bridge crossing the Wye River at Tintern. The bridge was built as a branch line connecting to the mainline over the river during Tintern's industrial past. Built in 1876 to transport the ductile iron made from the furnaces and forges around Tintern for wire making. Now a Grade II listed building and no longer a train line but now used by walkers and cyclists to explore the valley.
