On a wet windy day with the lake behind me looking down the valley at the access track to Llyn y Fan Fach. Welsh meaning "little lake (near) the peak". The lake is in the Black Mountain region (Mountain is singular), of the Brecon Beacons – Bannau Brycheiniog in Wales. During World War 1 the lake was enlarged and dammed.
